E.ON is leading in the gas and power sectors with its approx. 80,000 staff. E.ON Ruhrgas E&P GmbH, with it’s affiliated companies in the UK (London) and Norway (Stavanger: www.eon-ruhrgas.no) and an office in Russia (Moscow)  is the emerging upstream branch of E.ON Ruhrgas AG.

Objectives

• Long-term target for E.ON Ruhrgas is to build equity gas position of up to 15-20% of our supply portfolio =10-15 BCM/a
• Strategic Rationale: Strengthen and diversify E.ON’s supply position
• Opportunistic target size 4 bcm/a in the North Sea and 6 bcm/a in Russia with investment of 3-5 bn €
• Further diversification of gas supply portfolio through entry into LNG and new ventures in Northern Africa and Middle East
