E.ON Ruhrgas UK E&P Ltd., operator of Licence P1330, is pleased to announce a gas discovery on the Tolmount prospect. The discovery is located in Block 42/28d in the UK Southern North Sea to the west of the E.ON-operated Babbage gas field.

ERN has finished drilling of exploration well 31/8-1 (“Breiflabb”). The well failed to encounter hydrocarbons. The main risk of the Breiflabb prospect was the access to a mature source rock, and the charge risk was confirmed.
The operations went well finishing ahead of schedule and with no people accidents nor environmental incidents.
The Borgland Dolphin rig will now be drilling two other wells before coming onto contract with ERN again. ERN estimates to spud the Sesam well in PL350 in October.

ERN has now completed an agreement with Dana Petroleum Norway AS to take over the operatorship and to increase equity in PL562. ERN now holds 30 % in the license.
PL562 was awarded in the APA2009. ERN has been acting operator in the planning of and during the acquisition of the new 1350 km2 3D seismic survey. The survey was acquired this summer and is now being processed. The partnership is: E.ON Ruhrgas Norge (Op) 30 %, Dana Petroleum 20 %, Petoro 20 %, Noreco 20 %, North Energy 10 %.
“PL562 is one of 5 licenses operated by ERN. It is located in an area where ERN holds significant license acreage and the organisation possesses strong geological competence. Interpretation of the seismic data will form basis for the PL562 joint venture’s drill or drop decision, expected within end 2012” says Svend Erik Pettersson, General Manager Exploration and Business Development.

E.ON Ruhrgas UK E&P Limited as operator of the Huntington Field and on behalf of its joint venture partners and Sevan Production UK Limited (a subsidiary of Sevan Marine ASA), have today signed a leasing contract for the FPSO Sevan Voyageur.

Milestone for own gas production of E.ON Ruhrgas
E.ON Ruhrgas started first production from the Babbage gas field in the United Kingdom. The Babbage platform is the first gas production platform operated by E.ON Ruhrgas UK E&P Limited. The field is located approximately 80 km off the coast of the UK, in the Southern North Sea. Babbage is expected to produce more than 5 billion cubic metres of natural gas with a field life of 20 years.

E.ON Ruhrgas Norge (ERN) awarded three new licences off Norwegian coast
ERN was assigned operatorship and a 30 % participating interest in PL558 in the latest Norwegian licensing round. PL558 is located between the ongoing Skarv field development and the PL350 licence area, likewise operated by ERN.
